The Global Services Technical Writing Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining training paper-based and electronic documentation including, Service Manuals and SOPs to ensure the ongoing development of clinical knowledge of BD customers and internal associates. Proficiency in MadCap Flare and demonstrated technical writing skills are required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with BD TSS associates to design, develop, and maintain paper-based and electronically formatted instructional material and documentation for training courses that support BD products.
Demonstrates and utilizes effective need's analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills.
Ability to work independently to maintain entry and advanced-level courses for both internal and external customers.
Demonstrates ability to use multimedia technology and authoring tools.
Works with BD associates to develop and maintain technical bulletins, release notes, CLSI procedures, and related policies or procedures for BD customers and internal associates.
Incorporates effective training design techniques and a variety of training delivery modalities into all training documentation.
Ensures a consistent “Branded” look and feel for all BD training documentation and material.
Ensures electronic storage, retrieval, and routing, of training documentation in document control systems, and the maintenance of training material and processes in official controlled standard operating procedures.
Consult with SME’s for technical content.

Proficiency in MadCap Flare, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Interactive/HTLM5 and Publishing.

Education & Experience:
Requires a Bachelor of Science or Arts in English, Journalism, Education, Writing, or other related field.
3 or more years’ experience in the development of technical education and training materials and documentation. Medical device experience preferred.
Experience with training development, design, and delivery, including alternate delivery modalities.
Preferred Instructional Design experience.
Preferred experience with developing training and service guides for Medical Devices.
