Director, Pricing Process & Technology
Job Description Summary
The Director, Pricing Process & Technology role will report directly to the Senior Director, Global Pricing. The Director will help execute a pricing transformation across BD that delivers revenue growth and margin expansion. In partnership with business units and regional teams, s/he will identify and implement pricing actions to improve Earning Per Share (EPS) and mitigate price loss. In addition, s/he will own pricing process definitions, data assets, and pricing technology implementation across BD.Job Description
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- In partnership with business unit and regional teams, identify and execute price setting, price getting, and price netting actions to drive profitable growth and improve pricing excellence
- Partner with IT and BUs/Regions for pricing process definition, requirements development, technology design liaison, and technology implementation
- Partner with Finance & BUs/Regions to improve pricing data quality, reconcile data discrepancies, and integrate reporting across multiple systems
- Analyze and recommend pricing tools, standardize across the global organization where practical, and integrate with ERM and CRM systems. Partner with IT and business leaders to deploy globally within a defined timeframe, with positive ROI
- Support the Global Pricing Council, which includes members of the Executive Leadership Team and Business Unit, Regional, and Central Team leadership
- Help lead and support the cultural change management for pricing transformation across the business. Partnering with HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Business Leadership, Legal, Regional Leadership, and cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in pricing, marketing, finance, product management, or a related field
- Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field
- Strong track record of working collaboratively to tackle cross-functional issues
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to synthesize ideas/inputs into a cohesive execution plan
- Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions, and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner; able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing
- Strong track record of establishing and managing complex project plans, driving organizational change, adjusting to changing circumstances, and meeting deadlines
- Effective at building relationships across the organization
- Strong leadership skills, ability to navigate ambiguity, and lead through influence
- Must be a change agent and have change management experience
- Able to work well with global teams, including time zone flexibility
