Global Marketing Manager - Medication Preparation Solutions
Job Description Summary
This marketing role is in the Worldwide Medication Delivery (MD) platform, part of the Catheter Care Medication Delivery (CCMD) Business Group, focused on driving growth for the Medication Preparation Solutions portfolio. This key marketing leadership role is accountable for the growth of the Medication Preparation Solutions portfolio, specifically within the acute care or compounding pharmacy setting. In this role you will be responsible for executing the global strategy, managing and expanding a portfolio of products through inorganic or organic innovation, increasing awareness of existing BD solutions, and optimizing financial performance of the current portfolio. The role entails both strategic and tactical product management responsibilities. This role will work closely with cross-functional and regional team members to drive commercial success to achieve business & financial objectives. Responsibilities:
- Execution of global product portfolio strategy and annual strategic plan for the Medication Preparation products and services. Execute key initiatives working with regional marketing counterparts and cross-functional teams to meet business objectives that include maximizing sales & profitability while driving sustainable business growth
- Support product innovation, differentiation, and category leadership through product & packaging enhancements, product development, claims development, training, and sales collateral
- Execute new product, line extensions, product & cost enhancement projects and post-market surveillance. Drive new product launch excellence and go-to-market readiness
- Manage product life cycle activities such as market assessment, segmentation, competitive analysis, portfolio management, product positioning and marketing collateral/communications
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive qualitative and quantitative market research initiatives with external vendors, leveraging insights for strategy development and portfolio recommendations
- Manage identification and engagement of key customers to drive advocacy for portfolio, highlighting best practices through testimonials and messaging, in addition to evidence generation support
- Partner with other BD businesses having similar target clinical call points to enhance relevancy of the BD solution and/or to identify innovation opportunities
Knowledge and Experience:
- Demonstration of strong marketing competencies, product management, and leadership skills with a consistent track-record of high performance and results
- Proven success in executing cross-functional initiatives that drive significant business impact and growth is required
- Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills and ability to influence and persuade peers and leaders within the organization
- Demonstrated analytical strength through financial analysis and development of robust business cases
- Effective prioritization, project management, and clear action orientation
- Demonstration of problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
- Must work effectively across a matrixed, global organization & partner effectively with international colleagues and customers. Highly effective interpersonal skills and cultural savviness.
- Region or country level commercial responsibilities with strong experience in demand generation and sales force enablement
- Strong experience in customer engagement to identify opportunities to better serve their needs
- Experience or demonstrated knowledge of hospital or compounding pharmacies
Job Specific Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science or technical discipline required. MBA or PharmD preferred.
- 3+ years of marketing experience required; prior global experience will be preferred.
- 5+ years of healthcare industry experience required. Medical device industry, consumable product experience or pharmacy experience are preferred.
- Ability to travel in the USA & internationally 15% of the time
