BD is in search of Manager to provide for IT Service Deliver to our sites in Western North America. This is a remote position but being in the PST zone is preferred. The Manager will be part of the Site Service Delivery (SSD) organization responsible for all infrastructure and security delivery. The SSD team is the gatekeeper / interface between the BD internal Business Relationship Management, Businesses, Functions, IT Global Infrastructure Towers and the Suppliers / Vendors servicing BD with IT services, operations, and technical project execution. Any IT technical aspects, one-time efforts, or long-term service establishment to the business, is being addressed by the SSD groups.

Site Service Delivery Manager is the connecting point with Business Partners, IT Partners, BD IT SMEs and Global IT Tower Peers to conduct assessments, design and planning of technical aspects for small, medium and large Business Projects in close relationship with BD IT suppliers.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a deep knowledge of BD business functions for the assigned BD sites, including key driver goals, short- and long-term roadmaps, key projects, and personnel

  • Act as an interface between business teams, global infrastructure and technology support teams

  • Ensure communication of change implementations and service impacts

  • Provide solutions when service levels are missed or at risk and coordinate resolution of issues with infrastructure, change, and support teams

  • Provide program and project management services across all technology towers

  • Partner with SMEs to plan new joint initiatives, evaluate proposals, and provide guidance working with TGS IT

  • Complete the projects/improvements needed to implement technology, processes, or services to meet business team requirements including the documentation, testing and implementation

  • Approaches issues from multiple perspectives and collaborates with internal/external customers in generating creative, effective and practical solutions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 or more years of experience in IT and 5 years in an Engineering, Project Management, or other technical leadership role

  • Proficiency in system development life cycle documentation, testing and release cycle protocols including business requirements documentation, test scenarios/data/execution, cutover, Hypercare, project planning and status reporting

  • Familiarity using Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, O365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Active Directory, Messaging, DNS, Site & Services, Group Policies, Share / Folder permission & security groups

  • Experience working in a corporate environment

  • Experience working with outsourced providers

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business or a related field

  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN technologies

  • Ability to influence and break down silos within an organization as well across organizations

  • Savvy in working with geographically distributed team members / virtual collaboration

  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting issues

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills

  • Able to align and work with diverse regional stakeholders

  • Strong humility, listening, creativity, and negotiation skills

  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure and IT security

  • Experience with Client Computing

  • Working knowledge of cloud compute & storage (e.g. Azure, Oracle, AWS)

  • Master’s degree highly desirable

  • Results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment

  • High personal accountability & integrity

  • Courage to drive through change in a professional manner

  • Ability to collaborate within teams comprised of internal and external parties to foster complete project success

  • Passion to “make a difference”

  • 10% across US
