The Pyxis ES Software Sr Product Manager is the product management lead on a large cross functional development team focused on delivering medication management solutions to the market.  This role is will be responsible for understanding customer workflows to manage and dispense medications, translating those customer needs to a development team and ensuring BD is set up to best deliver value.  This is a strategic and upstream product management role within the Medication Management Solutions business and reports to the Associate Marketing Director, ADC/MedStation Segment.

This position will collaborate closely with R&D, quality, product owners, downstream marketing, global marketing teams within Pyxis and adjacent businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute on all aspects of the ES product lifecycle from feasibility to end-of-life
• Subject matter expert for BD Pyxis ES MedStation and software release roadmap
• Understand and influence dependencies on adjacent business roadmaps
• Advocate for internal groups ensuring product is easily sold, implemented, adopted and supported
• Work closely with downstream marketing to provide content and drive positioning of new products and services
• Triage incoming customer requests within product enhancement process
• Assess financial implications, including profitability and viability, for complex product/market portfolios or segments.
• Lead and support business responsibilities in Global Product Development processes
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills related to interfacing and establishing relationships with customers and key influencers to ensure that marketing decisions are customer-driven. 
• Collaborate and align with cross functional teams and customers to prioritize incoming enhancement requests

Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in upstream marketing and enterprise software product development
• Medical device or regulated market experience desirable.
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Business or Technical Field; MBA preferred. 
• Competency with working in FDA, regulated environment for product development process
• Strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.  
• Personal characteristics: detail-oriented, critical thinker, self-motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful, self-aware, customer-focused, interested in professional development/career progression, personable.  
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Advanced verbal, written and presentation/communications skills.
