The Senior Electrical Engineer in this role is an individual contributor with deep expertise in electrical and electro-mechanical systems focused on sustaining existing BD’s flagship Infusion Pumps and Medication Cabinets.
This is an exciting role that will require both your strong technical and leadership skills to effectively work with your peers and leadership across functional groups, global CM partners and suppliers that will challenge you to organize and measure the best of your energies and skills.
Additional to leading engineering projects of varying complexities, you will provide product lifecycle management supported in finding solutions to component and peripherals’ obsolesce,conduct failure investigations andresolve issues as they come up from operations, customer base and supplier.
Job Requirements :
- Lead technical projects as a subject matter expert and a leader on variety of projects relating to sustaining of the medical dispensing system from component to sub-assemblies to a system level in supporting the product lifecyle management.
- Understand datasheets, conduct circuit analysis and qualify new components.
- Execute Engineering Change Orders consistent with company’s policies.
- Perform DFM and DFMEA reviews within operations group, with CM( contract manufacturer) and suppliers.
- Conduct failure investigation consistent with DMAIC (Define , Measure, Analyze, Implement, Control) and best engineering practices, continuously improving quality.
- Lead/contribute to CAPA investigation (Corrective Action Preventive Action)
- Support PCBAs/ Off-the-shelf peripherals roadmap, ensuring supply continuity in conformance with the latest compliance standards including but not limited to RoHS3, EMC 4th. edition, UL, EU and IEC.
- Define/execute test methodology and test coverage to assure product reliability
- Expertise in the use of standard electronic laboratory equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers etc.
- Mentor junior engineers on best practices and robust failure analysis
- Familiarity with six sigma and medical experience is a plus

Education & Experience Requirement:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 8+ experience or MSEE with 5+
