  • Deeply understand and drive toward the business goals and intended customer outcomes.

  • Build and maintain automation journeys in Marketing Cloud to support campaigns while enhancing the customer experience.

  • Think independently and be an excellent problem solver. Able to acquire new skills and knowledge “on the fly” in order to resolve issues with new and unfamiliar systems.

  • Develop and carry out marketing programs that use Email Studio, Advertising Studio, Web Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio and some custom integrations.

  • Work directly with stakeholders to set and manage expectations for each campaign while planning for paths of continuous improvements.

  • Understand how data flows between digital marketing capabilities (Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Evergage, etc.) - and when it doesn’t, why it doesn’t and how to fix it.

  • Analyze data from digital marketing programs to develop internal best practices by proactively researching email and mobile engagement statistics.

  • Evaluate and provide guidance for automation opportunities across digital platforms.

  • Ensure all customer record data is successfully segmented for success.

  • Possess strong quantitative skills, strategic thinking, logical reasoning, and desire to make data-driven decisions.

  • Use Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform to build multi-channel marketing journeys (including email,  phone, and mobile touchpoints) -- Performing day-to-day marketing operations including campaign set-up, segmentation, scheduling, testing, tagging, and deployment.

  • Create or help validate SQL queries used to pull data for reports or into emailing automation programs.

  • Lead ongoing Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform health, solve system errors and provide user support.


  • Help the team implement sequenced email and nurture journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud including multi-channel campaign execution, dynamic customer journeys, pre- and post-campaign analytics including audience building and segmentation.

  • Contribute to agile environment by proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and reducing execution complexity.

  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives to enable progress, and surface and resolve impediments.

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and other activities to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of campaign deployments.

  • Excellent communicator and presenter to cross-functional business stakeholders, senior team members, etc.

  • Lead collaborations to determine automation project needs and requirements.

  • Desire to be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent (MBA or Master’s in Computer Science preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud products, including Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder

  • Experience working with Marketing Cloud data extensions, SQL queries and AMPScript

  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to create SQL queries as they relate to list management, audience segmentation, and data extension creation

  • Working knowledge of email best practices (e.g., targeted lists, subject lines, messaging, deliverability); as well as best practices in direct mail, SMS, phone call/IVR, and mobile/SMS messaging

  • Deeply understand email creation, SMS generation, Journeys, triggered automations, and SQL queries within Salesforce Marketing Cloud including deep understanding of email best practices and CAN-SPAM laws and TCPA

  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Datorama, or similar

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and general funnel hygiene

  • Healthcare experience is a plus

  • A/B, Multi-variate testing experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with the SFMC API is a plus

  • Experience with Gitlab and CI/CD is a plus

  • Experience with DevOps process related to Salesforce

Licensure or Certifications required:

  • Marketing Cloud certification required

  • Marketing Cloud Administrator certification required

  • Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification preferred

  • Salesforce Administrator certification preferred
