The Training Specialist makes decisions and ensures that Associates are properly trained and resourced with necessary training materials. The Training Specialist enforces training compliance with new and established procedures / work document. Good communication and time management are required as this person will conduct training, setup meetings, and coordinate training. Responsible for motivating and supporting associates in achieving manufacturing, production, and quality goals. Position Summary
The Training Specialist ensures and maintains a consistent training framework across the plant. The Training Specialist makes decisions and ensures that Associates are properly trained and resourced with necessary training materials. The Training Specialist enforces training compliance with new and established procedures / work document. Good communication and time management are required as this person will conduct training, setup meetings, and coordinate training. Responsible for motivating and supporting associates in achieving manufacturing, production, and quality goals. This person will provide support to Coaches, CI Line Leaders, and Engineers for overall training performance of the department.
Shift: this is an hourly, day shift position.
$2,000 sign-on bonus!
Responsibilities
Create, develop and maintain consistent training framework and materials.
Schedules, coordinates, and initiates training.
Identifies gaps in training, development, and re-certification. Responsible for the identification and implementation of solutions to training gaps, by utilizing training analysis. Identify and monitor training performance metrics in order to evaluate needs or confirm consistency.
Actively evaluates, audits and improves training methodology (train the trainer). Trains and certifies Workplace Trainers, Assessors and other Training Associates.
Update and create training. Conducts and presents training material and maintains the skills to train others.
Responsible for updating and maintaining the department training matrix. Build training needs and methods for each department using the consistent training framework process across the organization.
Create standardized assessment process across departments. Serve and recruit 3rd party assessor to ensure consistency of Associate’s job preparedness. Create and conduct random training audit with Associates to maintain knowledge base.
Evaluate and identified key critical areas in which training with be created and assessed.
Records and maintains all necessary certifications, as per process and career block requirements.
Responsible for ensuring that training is distributed in a manner that builds succession of learning.
Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous waste regulations.
Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
HS Diploma/GED not required
1 year experience in Manufacturing environment
1 year experience in training methods and development of training material
