The Territory Representative is responsible for identifying clinical and technical customer needs and providing relevant BD solutions. This role requires deep expertise in the assigned portfolio, strong customer engagement, and the ability to drive sales growth through effective solution-based selling. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, procurement teams, and distributors, to ensure BD’s market leadership and customer satisfaction.
This role will cover Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara.

About the role

The Territory Representative covering Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, is responsible for identifying clinical and technical customer needs and providing relevant BD solutions. This role requires deep expertise in the assigned portfolio, strong customer engagement, and the ability to drive sales growth through effective solution-based selling. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, procurement teams, and distributors, to ensure BD’s market leadership and customer satisfaction.

Main responsibilities will include:

Clinical & Technical Expertise:

  • Act as a specialist in the assigned product portfolio, both clinically and technically.

  • Identify customer needs and present relevant BD solutions.

  • Demonstrate the BD product portfolio to customers and distributor associates.

  • Address inquiries related to products, applications, software, and instruments.

  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical application and clinical training.

  • Develop and update professional training documents and presentations to ensure all product specifications and limitations are clearly understood.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets for BD Turkey by hospital and distributor levels.

  • Monitor the competitive landscape and market trends in relevant care areas.

  • Work according to the company's pricing policy to achieve margin targets.

  • Build long-term customer relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction rates for BD products and services.

  • Identify key clinical and administrative decision-makers and effectively present BD solutions.

  • Participate in exhibitions and congresses, including giving lectures and product demonstrations.

Tender & Procurement Management:

  • Manage the end-to-end tendering process, ensuring alignment with BD principles and local procurement laws.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to finalize tenders successfully.

  • Follow and manage procurement processes, from demand creation to finalization.

Distributor & Performance Management:

  • Track and manage distributor performance to ensure sales targets are met on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

  • Provide application, technical, and scientific support and training for distributor sales and application specialists.

  • Work in compliance with BD’s corporate policies and regulatory requirements of both Turkey and the United States.

About you

  • A BSc degree in biological sciences, molecular biology, immunology, or an equivalent field is required. A background in clinical immunology or hematology is a strong asset.

  • Proven experience as a sales specialist or application specialist in the medical device or clinical laboratory market is essential. Extensive laboratory experience in flow cytometry is an advantage.

  • Experience in distributor and tender management is preferred.

  • Fluency in English and Turkish (spoken and written) is required.

  • Strong analytical thinking, financial awareness, and territory management skills are essential.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Problem-solving approach, with the ability to address product end-users' varying requests confidently.

  • Proficient in computer and software systems (MS Office, Salesforce).

  • Well-developed presentation and training skills, with confidence in delivering technical information.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn, with a positive mentality and open-minded approach to working in diverse cultural environments.

  • Willingness to travel extensively and ability to work remotely with self-organization and efficiency.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high standards of service and performance.
