Job Description Summary

BD Advanced Patient Monitoring is a global leader in advanced monitoring solutions that expands BD's portfolio of smart connected care solutions with its growing set of leading monitoring technologies, advanced AI-enabled clinical decision tools and robust innovation pipeline. BD Advanced Patient Monitoring's technologies are often used simultaneously with the BD Alaris™ Infusion System in the operating room or intensive care units. The combination of BD's new advanced monitoring and existing infusion platforms enables future innovation opportunities for closed-loop hemodynamic monitoring and IV fluid and medication administration by integrating combined company data sets and interoperability capabilities.

BD Advanced Patient Monitoring is operated as a separate business unit with Edwards Life Science.

Primary responsibilities include direct and indirect sales activities - promote and sell products of Advanced Patient Monitoring Business Units in the Poland in line with Becton Dickinson policy regarding Shared Values and Business Ethics. Maximize profitable sales volume in the specified territory.

Cooperate with Business Unit Director and EU Marketing in developing and implementing a strategy in line with BD APM vision to meet the needs of the market.

Area of Responsibilities:

  • Perform with an objective to achieve territory action plans and reach sales and profit targets as defined in the annual sales plan in the specified territory
  • Responsibility for direct sales to Customers (hospitals)
  • Support commercialization and product launch with customers
  • Ensure that customers are provided with adequate technical, product and in-service support, train customers on product use and ensure after sales service by a continued follow with of the Customers
  • Conduct market research – continuously supervise market data, competitors and changes in market trends, and regularly report to Business Unit Director
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and hospital management
  • Support Regulatory Affairs dept. on the registration of the products
  • Cooperate with Customer Service dept. regarding order management, inventory levels and warehouse forecasts
  • Coordinate the organization of BD Advanced Patient Monitoring participation to local seminars, medical exhibitions and trainings
  • Implement marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues on the effective use of selling process and tools
  • Lead installed base of control monitors: transfers, fixed assets, update software including profitability analysis

Your Profile:

  • Degree in natural sciences, biology and medicine
  • Prior experience in sales in the medical field is required - high level of commercial skills, selling skills and business acumen, account management and negotiation is required
  • Experience in intensive care is required, with the knowledge of the ICU and operating room environment, ideally interacting with intensives and anesthesiologists.
  • New product launch selling experience
  • High interpersonal and communication skills - personality acceptable to customer
  • Experience with clinical training provided to hospital personnel - conducting training programs to both physician and support staff is a strong advantage
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • High level of IT literacy and use of Microsoft office packages
  • Strong business ethics and personal integrity is a must
  • Proficient Polish and English is required
  • Full clean drivers license
  • Ability to travel extensively – field-based position (more than 80%)
