Job Description Summary

An exciting opportunity has risen for an experienced professional to lead and drive the strategy for tender submission capability across multiple business units. This role focuses on designing and creating winning bids within BD Life Sciences, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions and services to the NHS.
Working within the complex environment of pan-pathology solutions, collaborative networks, and managed services, this role is pivotal in defining and influencing our diagnostic value propositions. These propositions will be tailored to meet customer needs, focusing on both products and the extended services that support the unique operations of Pathology within the NHS.
This is a full-time position, and you will be traveling up to 50% of the time including occasional overnight stay depending on your location. While your presence may be required in our Winnersh office, we offer flexibility with remote working arrangements to support your work-life balance and ensure maximum efficiency in achieving our goals. Main responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with our commercial teams to develop strong value propositions that ultimately support our differentiated tender submissions.
  • Developing standardized responses and evidence base across commercial, product, technical, and managed services.
  • Working with our in situ Tender & Bids team in ensuring effective tender governance through escalation, approvals, and continuous improvement cycles.
  • Developing total solution designs for each project exceeding the customer's vision and specifications.
  • Building collaborative relationships with our third-party partners to further enhance such value propositions and coordinated bids.
  • Lead on after action reviews to influence future tender capability and success.

About you:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in the IVD Diagnostics industry, particularly in Microbiology, Molecular, Blood Sciences, Haematology, or Immunology.
  • Significant experience in influencing pre-sales cycles, tendering, contracting, and managed services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong network within the NHS Pathology Services would be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior levels within BD and the NHS.
