Job Description Summary

The Senior Advanced Analytics Analyst will be responsible for developing the analytics capabilities for the BD Excellence Acceleration Office. This role will work closely with Business Units and support functions to provide company wide analysis and insights that enable better fact-based-decision making. The successful candidate will have strong background in data governance, data modeling, and data driven analytics/visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI).

Job Description

Responsibilities
• Collecting and analyzing large amounts of unstructured and structured (functional spending, market trends, operational performance) using advanced tools.
• Designing dashboards using data visualization tools like PowerBi.
• Creating reports and presentations summarizing findings and providing actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
• Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop strategies and tactics aimed at improving business outcomes.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement within existing processes.
• Using machine learning algorithms to predict future trends and patterns.
• Identifying key metrics to track performance against goals and objectives.
• Developing metrics and KPIs to measure effectiveness of initiatives.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or related field preferred. Master’s degree in these fields is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of statistics, probability theory, linear algebra, calculus, machine learning techniques, etc.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like PowerBI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across various departments and levels of the organization.
• Highly organized individual capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with databases, data warehousing, ETL tools, etc.
